D is for Divination
Naturally I am going to do Divination : ) …
I have been Divining for many years and it always starts the same. I am pensive going in, wondering if I will be assisted by my Guides, I’m not sure why I wonder, they have never let me down.
Palmistry was where I started with Divination, and from there moved to Playing Cards, this was something I found came easily, and still does, and of course Tarot Cards. I have a set of the Guilded Tarot and these speak to me constantly, my guides seem to love them and my readings are always insightful and accurate, which pleases me, gives me faith in what I am doing and the information I pass on. Giving all the information as its given to me was quite difficult at first, I was young and worried about how people would take some of it, and it took a while for me to come to terms with that. Now of course I pass on all messages I receive, both good and bad because it is not up to me to determine what the questioner needs to hear. I am given these message for a reason and accordingly pass them on for the same reasons.
Divination is a personal thing, you have to be akin to the style you choose and for each of us it is different. I was given an amazing insight into a new style of Divination, and a name for it, although it comes from 2 very different old arts that have been around for centuries. My Hydromoirai Readings are fresh, new and increasingly accurate. The term Hydromoirai comes from ‘Hydro’ meaning water and ‘Moirai‘ (or Moirae) who were the goddesses of fate who personified the inescapable destiny of man. They assigned to every person his or her fate or share in the scheme of things. Their name means “Parts.” “Shares” or “Alotted Portions.” Zeus Moiragetes, the god of fate, was their leader.
Naturally my Hydromoirai Readings are exclusive at this stage to Divination by Sharmonia, and not to push my own agenda but I am more than happy to share my water reading style with those seriously interested.
So how do your readings go? Do you read the cards and nothing but the cards, or do you use your intuition, guides and instincts? … For each of us it is different, I start my readings (all readings) with a small prayer and request for assistance, and I end my readings with a heartfelt Thank you to those who provided me with insight. How do you conduct your readings? I also like to set the ambiance of the room, with candles and incense and other things relative to my beliefs.
Wikipedia defines Divination as such:
Divination (from Latin divinare "to foresee, to be inspired by a god",[2] related to divinus, divine) is the attempt to gain insight into a question or situation by way of an occultic standardized process or ritual.[3] Used in various forms for thousands of years, diviners ascertain their interpretations of how a querent should proceed by reading signs, events, or omens, or through alleged contact with a supernatural agency.[4]
Divination can be seen as a systematic method with which to organize what appear to be disjointed, random facets of existence such that they provide insight into a problem at hand. If a distinction is to be made between divination and fortune-telling, divination has a formal or ritual and often social character, usually in a religious context, as seen in traditional African medicine; while fortune-telling is a more everyday practice for personal purposes. Particular divination methods vary by culture and religion.
Divination is often dismissed by sceptics, including the scientific community, as being mere superstition. In the 2nd century, Lucian devoted a witty essay to the career of a charlatan, "Alexander the false prophet", trained by "one of those who advertise enchantments, miraculous incantations, charms for your love-affairs, visitations for your enemies, disclosures of buried treasure, and successions to estates",[5] although most Romans believed in dreams and charms. It is considered a sin in most Christian denominations and Judaism, though some methods, especially dream interpretation, do appear in Scripture.

there are more methods of fortune telling than you can imagine, and why?
What is it Divination is designed to achieve?
I believe Divination is to give an insight on events, circumstances and people in our lives. It is not a ‘set in stone’ instruction manual to your life.
Do some people become addicted to Divination, sure, of course they do. They find out a few things that become increasingly accurate in their life and they want to know more, they want that edge that no one else has, but Divination isn’t, in my opinion, designed for that.
Do we, as Divination Specialists, have a responsibility to those we read for? … Yes I believe we do …
